Pinnacle Studio is video editing software that provides you with the basics. If you want to edit videos but your computer can't handle a complex application, this software might be a good choice for you. It is HD and AVCHD compatible. In addition to that, you can add audio and images to your videos. Although this application is a lightweight when it comes to advanced features, it still has important tools. For instance, it comes with more than 1,500 effects, transitions and other items. Some of the effects are 3D.
You'll also find themes such as Holiday, Tropical Vacation, Waves and Historical Architecture. You can use up to three audio tracks on your movie. This is nice if you want to add background music, voiceovers and sound effects. Some movie editing applications we reviewed have much more than this. However, they also require more computer resources. And if you just plan to create simple movies, you may not need more audio tracks.

This video editing software comes with more than 1,500 transitions, effects and other material. You can choose themes to go along with your movie. Pinnacle Studio also comes with three audio tracks where you can place audio files.

The help and support for this software is not as effective as the support for other products we reviewed. Some options cost money, and it takes a while to receive a response with the free email tech support.

Pinnacle Studio has more effects and transitions than other video editor applications we reviewed; however, it only has a few tracks where you can place video, audio and effects. This may not be a problem if you want to create simple projects only. If you want to add many clips that overlap one another, this software may not be up to the task.
